We have arrived in the Arctic to snow and freezing temperatures. All our kit is sorted and we are ready for the big off tomorrow morning. We have been allocated our six sled dogs each. Mine are called Skaidi, Noss, Beivas, Toyota, Norge and Carstenz.
As I write we are now ready for bed in a traditional Lavvu (an eskimo teepee like structure) with the fire going whilst the wind is getting up outside. Putting up the tents tomorrow night in wind and snow is going to be interesting.
